YEUX is a Los Angeles based, up and coming artist who is challenging what is possible creatively and sonically with pop music. Originally from a working-class family in Kansas City, YEUX has been creating sounds in Los Angeles for just over two years. He was inspired by the pop and R&B acts of the early aughts like Justin Timberlake, Usher, and John Legend. But also Soul-heavy hitters like Bill Withers, Stevie Wonder and Sade. YEUX has created a sound that is simultaneously familiar and yet experimental. His work places as much importance on communicating through conscious visuals as the records themselves. YEUX channels thoughtfulness and introspection in a disconnected climate and challenges us to ask ourselves “Who am I?”

 

The moniker “YEUX,” translates literally to “eyes” from French. This play on words channels YEUX’s interest in using music as an opportunity to look at life on a macro level, but also to succinctly focus on one’s own life from “eyes” to “I’s.” By using his own experience of going from a struggling kid in Kansas City to a progressive creator in the City of Angels, YEUX’s work challenges what it means to be in love, seek intimacy, have meaningful friendships and chase success in the modern world.  

 

YEUX sold out his first show in Hollywood in collaboration with Live Nation, and currently has over 30,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with each new single drop garnering more attention. In 2022, he released his first three singles: “YESTERYEAR,” “MAJOR HOLIDAYS,” and "DESIGNATED DRIVER". 2023 has been a year of development, and new music with much more on the horizon. YEUX is primed for more shows, connecting deeper with fans, collaborating with other noteworthy artists, and releasing more music.
